(7/21/10) For years customers at grocery checkout stands could get their choice of paper or plastic carry-out bags. Now that choice is beginning to diminish as the Fred Meyer chain has decided to eliminate the plastic option in Portland at the end of this month. The decision effects ten locations on August 1st. While there are no such plans currently for southern Oregon and northern California, Fred Meyer wants your opinion.
