Fair Gives Some A Chance For Employment

E-mail Print PDF

(7/22/10) Dozens of men and women are able to pay their bills all thanks to temporary work at the Jackson County Fair going on this week.  Fair officials say putting on an event of this magnitude requires a lot of outside help. Jobs range from parking attendants to security personal. This year, officials have hired one-hundred temporary workers to help put on the fair. And organizers are encouraging others to sign up say if you're interested in a job at the fair. Events coordinator Melissa Damon says jobs may even be available in the future. "They should go down to personnel source and sign up, that's where we get our temporary people. We'll be looking for people for the Harvest Fair which is September 25th and 26th. And we are looking for people throughout the year to do various things."
